About Us

Welcome to the Maryland Black Republican Council. We're here to show that black voters have a strong voice and an alternative within the Republican Party. Discover our mission, our history, and how we're working to make a difference in Maryland and beyond.

The Maryland Black Republican Council is committed to representing the interests of black Republicans across the state. We believe in policies that empower our community, promote economic opportunity, and uphold the values of freedom and individual responsibility. The Republican Party ended slavery, elected the first black senators and was founded by white, anti-slavery activists in the northern United States, and its creation was a direct response to the passage of the Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1854.

A voice for change

What sets us apart is our established presence and influence within the Republican Party. We have a seat at the political table, both statewide and nationally, enabling us to directly advocate for policies that uplift the black community. We work with policymakers to create real, positive change.
